Who it's for

You were never the problem
in that gym class.

Primetime Eric is for gay men, roughly 50 to 70 — the generation that came up through the AIDS crisis, watched the culture change, reinvented careers and selves, and is now navigating an aging body. Sidelined twice over by a youth-obsessed fitness world and a youth-obsessed gay culture. Here, you're not the exception. You're the audience.

You want to stay strong — and independent

To keep doing the things you love, on your own terms, for decades. Strength, mobility, balance — the long game, not a 30-day sprint.

You're tired of bootcamp energy

"No pain, no gain." "Defy aging." "Crush it." None of that was written for you. Here it's calm, plain-spoken, lived-in.

You don't want to do it alone

Brotherhood, belonging, mentorship. A place where the whole picture is welcome — not just the workout, not just the body.

for gay men in the prime of life

Slow. Steady.v1 · 2026
Your free starting point

Seven days, slow and steady.

A calm, doable way to begin (or begin again). One short session a day — with modifications at every step. Built for gay men 50+, written like a note from a friend who happens to know the science.

  1. 1

    Reset and check in

A gentle full-body check-in. Where are you starting? No judgement, just a baseline.

  2. 2

    Posture and breathing

The quiet basics that make every other movement safer and stronger.

  3. 3

    Lower body, joint-friendly

Legs and hips — the muscles that keep you steady and independent. Supported, not strained.

  4. 4

    Recovery and mobility

Joints first, always. An easier day so you can keep going comfortably.

  5. 5

    Upper body, no strain

Shoulders, back, arms — strength without the stress.

  6. 6

    Balance and stability

Real confidence on your feet. Quiet practice, sturdy returns.

  7. 7

    A rhythm you can keep

Combine the week into a sustainable rhythm. The long game starts here.

What you'll need: about 15–20 minutes a day, a sturdy chair, a bit of clear floor space. That's it — no gym, no equipment to buy.

Meet Eric

A trainer who's living it.

I'm Eric. I'm 55, I'm gay, and I've been a personal trainer for more than twenty years. These days I'm also coaching my own aging body — same knees, same shoulders, same questions a lot of you are sitting with.

The mainstream fitness world wasn't built for us. Neither, often, was gay culture once we got past 40. Primetime Eric is what I wish had been there for me: calm, plain-spoken, lived-in. Strength, mobility, and belonging for gay men in the prime of life — from a trainer who's living it.

No bootcamp. No anti-aging panic. No shame. Just the long game, played well — and a place where we get to do it together.

What we cover

Four pillars for the long game.

Every post, email, video, and program sits inside one of these. The fourth is the pillar only this brand can credibly write.

01 — Move

Move

Strength for 50+, low-impact cardio, balance and mobility, recovery. Joint-aware throughout, home or gym, with modifications every time.

"Three joint-friendly strength moves to start with — no gym required."
02 — Nourish

Nourish

Protein after 50, anti-inflammatory eating, sustainable weight management. Evidence-based supplements only — no fads, no hard sell.

"How much protein you actually need after 50."
03 — Mind

Mind

Sleep, stress, motivation, the long-game mindset, injury prevention. Quiet basics that hold the rest up.

"Why rest is part of the plan, not a break from it."
04 — Belong

Belong

Aging well as a gay man, together. Brotherhood, mentorship, real connection. The differentiator — the pillar nobody else is going to write for us.

"You were never the problem in that gym class."
Our promise

How Primetime Eric sounds different.

The fitness world is loud. Here it's calm — by design. The voice is constant; what flexes is energy and detail. These are the six lines we test every piece of content against.

  • Warm, not drill-sergeant

We meet you where you are. No bootcamp, no "no pain, no gain."

  • Experience-led, not theoretical

Twenty years of coaching and Eric's own aging body. No lecturing from on high.

  • Calm, not hyped

Clear, unhurried, jargon-free. No "shred," no hard sell.

  • Steady, not quick-fix

Slow, progressive, sustainable. Build something this month you can keep for years.

  • Honest about the aging body

Real aches, real limits, real modifications. No "look 40 again," no anti-aging panic.

  • For our community, by name

Explicitly by and for gay men 50+. Not aimed at 25-year-olds, not pretending to be generic.

Questions

Good questions, honest answers.

Is this really written for gay men 50+?
Yes — explicitly. Allies are welcome to read, but the content, the photography, and the voice are written for gay men in the prime of life. That's the differentiator, not a marketing flourish.
I haven't worked out in years — is the 7-Day Starter for me?
Yes — that's exactly who it's built for. It opens with a gentle check-in and builds from there. Every movement has modifications. There's no "fitness level" you need to qualify at first.
Do I need a gym or equipment?
No. A sturdy chair, a bit of floor space, and about 15–20 minutes a day. You can do all of it at home.
What about joint pain or an old injury?
Modifications are built into every movement. That said, this is general fitness education, not medical advice — please check with your doctor first, especially if you have an existing condition or injury.
Is the 7-Day Starter free? Will the newsletter cost anything?
Both free. No credit card. The bi-weekly newsletter stays free as the brand grows.
Will my inbox get hammered?
No. One email every other Tuesday. Unsubscribe with one click whenever you like.
Is there a paid program?
Not yet. Phase 1 is media-first — the 7-Day Starter, the bi-weekly newsletter, the blog. A private community for gay men 50+ comes in Phase 3, and subscribers get first access.
